How Super Lawyers Are Selected

In November 2004, Law & Politics and the publisher of Philadelphia Magazine, attempted to find the "Seriously Outstanding - The top 5 percent" in conducting its survey of "Super Lawyers". The listing of 2005 Super Lawyers names Pennsylvania's top lawyers as chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Law & Politics. The list of 2005 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers is based on surveys of more than 36,000 lawyers across the state. In the survey, lawyers were asked to name the best lawyers they had personally observed in action. After the ballots were received, each lawyer's discipline record was reviewed for any violations.

The goal was to select as Super Lawyers the top 5 percent of Pennsylvania lawyers. The list of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers is published annually in the June issues of Philadelphia magazine and Pennsylvania Super Lawyer.
